How much does Yocoolab cost?

Yocoolab is free forever. The full app — unlimited repositories, unlimited users and teams, every integration (Jira, Linear, Slack, GitHub, Telegram, Pendo), Claude Code AI, and element-to-source mapping — costs nothing. There is no credit card, no trial clock, and no seat fees. New advanced features we build down the road may be offered as optional paid add-ons, but everything available today stays free.

Do you charge for viewer seats like Figma?

No. This is one of our core differentiators. Figma charges $12–$15 per editor seat and limits viewer access. With Yocoolab, developers, stakeholders, and clients can all view, comment, and interact with threads completely free — there are no seat fees and no per-editor charges. Your entire company can use Yocoolab without paying anything.

Is there a free trial, or will it stop being free?

There is no trial to expire — Yocoolab is simply free to use, indefinitely. No credit card to start, and full access to pinning, integrations, Claude Code AI, and team collaboration. The app you use today is free forever; only optional advanced features we may add in the future could carry pricing, and we will always give plenty of notice.

Will the app always be free?

Yes. "Free forever" is a commitment, not a launch promo. The core product — and everything you rely on today — stays free. If we release optional advanced add-ons later, they will be just that: optional, with clear notice in advance. You will never wake up to find the workflow you depend on locked behind a paywall.

How do I install Yocoolab on my site?

You have two options: (1) Install the Chrome Extension — no code changes needed, works on any website including localhost. Just install from the Chrome Web Store, log in, and start pinning comments. (2) Install the npm SDK — for teams that want programmatic control. Run npm install @yocoolab/react and add the YocoolabProvider to your app. Both options give you the same commenting experience.

Does it work with any tech stack?

Yes. Yocoolab works on any web application regardless of framework — React, Vue, Angular, Svelte, vanilla JS, WordPress, Shopify, you name it. The Chrome Extension works on any website. The SDK has first-class React support, and the framework-agnostic core library can be integrated into any frontend.

Yes. This is one of our most popular use cases. Install the Chrome Extension, open your localhost app, and start pinning feedback directly on your development environment. No deployment needed. All comments are saved to your Yocoolab dashboard and synced across your team.

How long does setup take?

With the Chrome Extension: under 60 seconds. Install from the Chrome Web Store, log in with GitHub or Google, and you are ready to comment. With the SDK: about 5 minutes to npm install and wrap your app with the YocoolabProvider. Full team onboarding takes about 10 minutes.

What integrations does Yocoolab support?

Yocoolab integrates with Jira, Linear, GitHub, Slack, Telegram, and Pendo — with more on the way. Jira and Linear have bidirectional sync: comments in Yocoolab appear as ticket updates, and ticket status changes sync back to Yocoolab threads. GitHub integration automatically links PRs to threads. Slack and Telegram send real-time notifications for every stage of the feedback lifecycle.

How does the Claude Code integration work?

This is our killer feature. When you pin a comment on any element, Yocoolab captures the full context — CSS selector, DOM path, computed styles, and source file location. Click "Send to Claude" and all of that context arrives instantly in Claude Code. Claude then generates the fix and creates a PR — all in one flow. From feedback to merged PR in under 10 minutes.

Can I connect multiple Jira projects?

Yes. You can connect multiple Jira projects to different Yocoolab repositories. Each repository in Yocoolab can point to a different Jira project, board, or issue type. Comments in Yocoolab create Jira issues with the full element context and screenshot attached.

Does the Slack integration support channels?

Yes. You can configure per-repository Slack channels for notifications. When a thread is created, updated, or resolved in a repository, the configured channel gets a real-time notification with a link to the thread and a screenshot preview.

Is my data secure?

Accepted Answer

Yes. All data is encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM) and in transit (TLS 1.3). OAuth tokens are encrypted before storage. We use PostgreSQL on Railway with encrypted volumes. We never store raw passwords — authentication is OAuth-only (GitHub, Google) with JWT tokens that have configurable expiry.

Do you support SSO?

Yes. Enterprise plans include SAML 2.0 SSO support. You can configure your identity provider (Okta, Azure AD, Google Workspace) to manage authentication for your entire team. SSO setup takes about 15 minutes with our guided configuration.

Where is my data stored?

Accepted Answer

Yocoolab runs on Railway (US East region) with PostgreSQL. All data is stored in the United States. We do not replicate data to other regions unless explicitly configured for Enterprise customers. We do not use third-party analytics on your thread data.

Do you have a SOC 2 report?

Accepted Answer

SOC 2 Type II is on our roadmap for Q3 2026. In the meantime, we follow SOC 2-aligned practices: audit logging for all actions, role-based access control, encryption at rest and in transit, and regular security reviews. Enterprise customers can request our security whitepaper.

Does Yocoolab work on mobile?

The Chrome Extension works on desktop Chrome only. The admin dashboard is fully responsive and works on mobile browsers. We recommend using the dashboard on mobile for reviewing threads, checking status, and responding to comments. Full mobile commenting is on our roadmap.

What browsers are supported?

The Chrome Extension works on Chrome, Edge, Brave, and any Chromium-based browser. The admin dashboard supports all modern browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. The SDK supports all browsers that support ES2020+.

All plans include email support (support@yocoolab.com) with a 24-hour response time. Team and Enterprise plans include priority support with a 4-hour SLA. Enterprise customers get a dedicated Slack channel and quarterly business reviews. We also have comprehensive documentation at yocoolab.com/docs.

Can I export my data?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can export all thread data as JSON through the admin dashboard or our REST API. We support bulk export for Enterprise customers. Your data is portable — we believe you should always have access to your feedback history, even if you decide to leave.
